Key Land Features
Description
Go off-grid! Escape to your own 80 acres! It already has a well permit! Your well can be drilled right away for your acre foot of fresh water. For farming on a grander scale, all 80 acres could readily be used agriculturally with an irrigation canal already as close as the adjoining property. The flat fertile acreage is the perfect serene hide-away. In recent years, the property has mostly been used for camping. As you may notice from the camping photo, there seems to be something magical about that vast wilderness under its amazing sunsets. This Millard County property on the outskirts of Delta, Utah, is nearest to the town of Hinckley, which has an elevation of 4,600 feet, and a population of 696 (as of the 2010 census). This area, transformed by abundant irrigation water from the Sevier River, is a farming oasis in the middle of the Sevier Desert. This rich oasis attracts a variety of animal life. As far as hunting goes-or for those wanting to live off of the land-campers and others in the area mostly see rabbits, but also report seeing coyotes, snakes, and occasionally deer and antelope. This land is northeast of the historic Topaz War Relocation Center. You may want to stop by there, and at the nearby museum. Topaz was a concentration camp for immigrants from Japan along with Americans of Japanese descent. These ruins are an important reminder. However interesting the concentration camps may be, you will enjoy yourself extraordinarily more while soaking at Baker Hot Springs, just 17 miles north of your own private 80 acres! Baker Hot Springs are a set of three pools constructed to catch the mineral water from a geothermal spring a few hundred feet away. It discharges 17 gallons of 180 F (82 C) water per second. By the time that hot water reaches you in a pool, the temperature is just about perfect for your complete deep relaxation. While taking in the heat and peaceful energy of the place, you can also have the satisfaction of knowing that that soothing water is high in manganese (a trace mineral that supports brain function, etc.). Baker Hot Springs are also known as "Crater Springs" and as "Abraham Hot Springs." Out in nature, without any building or business there, it is, of course, always open 24/7; and the admission is always FREE! You will love it! The Seller bought the 80 acres specifically to build his home close to Baker Hot Springs, but is now called out of state. Your 80 acres, and the area all around it, is a beautiful place for camping, hiking, hunting, or for riding horses, bikes, or ATVs. Imagine living in this vast, quiet, peaceful, secluded haven!
